A second cornerstone

The Group began its investment activities in January 2006. Initial capital was acquired from the notable dividend paid by KILROY travels Group’s sale of its company My Planet. In accordance with our owner’s policies, separate goals and principles have been set for investments in securities. Evaluation of the ethicality of investments is an especially important consideration. The securities portfolio aims to preserve and add to the Student Union’s assets, so that they will in time provide an alternative source of income for the Student Union.

Capital is invested responsibly, profitably and safely on a long-term basis. Particular attention is paid to long-term profit and risk management. Operational management is assisted by an annually changing Investment Committee.
